Technology Intern

The Youth Empowerment Mission, Inc. (YEM), a non-profit organization is seeking a diligent, highly motivated student to work in the development office of a youth-serving organization.  This is a rewarding and enriching opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in computer systems administration, web design, and database management while contributing to the growth and development of an emerging organization.

Intern Roles and Responsibilities

The Development Intern will work onsite for two days per week for a total of ten hours.  The Intern will report to the Director of Development and will be responsible for routine maintenance and administration of staff computers and the technology lab. Duties will include

 

Qualifications

Ideal candidate is a second-year college student or above, with strong computer skills, including HTML/web design.  The ability to learn a variety of database systems is a huge plus.  The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently on a number of projects simultaneously.
