Director of Programs
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that YEM programs consistently achieve their objectives and support the overall mission of YEM. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assessing, designing and implementing programming that meets the educational, social, emotional, environmental and developmental needs of youth and their families;
- Cultivating and managing relationships with key partners, including the New York City Administration for Children’s Services, NYC Department of Education, NYC Department of Health, and the NYC Legal Aid Society;
- Collaborating with staff to insure recruitment and retention of participants, and;
- Overseeing planning and implementation of program events, outings, and community events.
Requirements
- Commitment to (and experience working with) working with at-risk youth;
- Minimum of four years of program management/development experience;
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education or related field required; Master’s degree in these areas (or a similar discipline) a plus, and;
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
