YEM is pleased to announce that this fall, we will launch our first ever gender specific program for boys. Emerging Sons: Young Male Initiative will provide young men ages 11-21 with age-appropriate activities, services and supports to help them reach their full potential. Check our website later this summer for more information about this groundbreaking project.
Thanks to the support of several generous partners, YEM has undergone a full computer upgrade, including the establishment of an open-access technology lab for community use.
YEM and the New York Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network (NYCREW) provided an eye-opening experience for 40 young ladies at the DIG This Career Day on April 23rd. THE event provided 40 young women with insight and opportunities for them to follow non-traditional careers in real estate development, construction, architecture and business.

The Juvenile Justice Project is failing our young people. Almost half the young people in the city who enter detention centers return within one year. This summer, YEM will be working with our partners to raise awareness about juvenile justice reform and to end the unnecessary incarceration and detention of young people of color. Visit our website soon for more details on this important project.
